Viral Marketing

Viral Marketing is using digital channels such as email, social media (Twitter, Facebook etc) and old fashioned word of mouth to spread an advert of some description - be it a branded game, film clip or advert. Viral marketing is something of an artform as there are no hard and fast rules in predicting what will become truly viral against what might become viral.

Sagittarius Marketing have a good track record in producing viral games that are passed from person to person. Through careful analysis of target audiences, existing audiences, current trends and fashions we have created viral applications and games that have raised our clients brand in terms of both awareness and, more importantly, engagement.

Case Study: Rizla Suzuki British Superbike Team - Hot Lap Racing Game

During our three year tenure for now retired Rizla Suzuki British Superbike Team we created a fully branded motorcycle racing game that completely engaged with their petrol head audience. Furthermore, we supported this exercise in brand engagement through regularly changing the available race track and through monthly 'fastest lap' competitions. By taking this approach players continued to come back monthly for another go at the title and were happy to give their contact details in order to take part. In summary, this increased brand engagement, ensured repeat visits and promoted customer details harvesting plus the added bonus of viral referrals and the exposure of new users to the website and the brand.
